Isola dei Gabbiani, located along the north-eastern coast of Sardinia near Palau, is a true seaside paradise. This unspoilt natural area is famous for its clear turquoise waters and golden sandy beaches with gently sloping seabeds, making it ideal for families and nature lovers alike.

The resort’s equipped beach offers comfort and convenience, with lifeguard service and direct access to the sea, while the entire peninsula is surrounded by small, wild coves, perfect for relaxing walks, peaceful swims and moments of pure tranquillity.

The beaches of Isola dei Gabbiani: crystal-clear waters, golden sand and hidden coves

As you walk along the sandy isthmus that affords access to our paradise, you will be delighted to see the sea on both your left and your right! In these unique surroundings, on your right as you are entering, you will find our beach, complete with parasols and sun loungers that you are welcome to use throughout your stay*.

The golden sand and gentle slope down to the water make this area perfect even for families with small children. With the lifeguard looking out for you at all times, on the fully equipped beach you can re-charge your batteries like never before; moreover, you can easily order food from the restaurant or even just an ice cream from the bar.

Starting from the Reception desk, you’ll be at the beach after a short, 250-yard stroll. Alternatively, there is a shuttle service that takes you right to the beach for a relaxing day’s sunbathing. If you’d like to indulge in some thrilling watersports, such as (sailing, windsurfing or canoeing), the shuttle is also a great way to get your equipment to the water.

The beach can also be accessed with a stroller, thanks to the central walkway. Please let the staff at Reception know if you have any particular requirements and we will do our level best to meet your needs.

In one particular part of the beach, you can lie back on our sun loungers in the company of your small dog.

For those of you who want a rather wilder experience, alongside our beach, all around the peninsula there are various incredibly beautiful, secluded bays, most of which feature sandy beaches. You are free to use these at your leisure – a map and all of the details you need are available from Reception.

The equipped beach of Isola dei Gabbiani

Located on the right side of the sandy isthmus leading to the island, the main beach is fully equipped with sun umbrellas, loungers, a bar and a restaurant. A shuttle service from the reception is available, and access is easy even with strollers. It’s the perfect choice for families with children and for those looking for a relaxing beach holiday in Sardinia.

Natural coves around the peninsula

Beyond the main beach, the coastline is dotted with small sandy coves and quiet inlets, ideal for guests who prefer a more natural and peaceful seaside experience. A map of the coves is available at the reception.

Location and access

Isola dei Gabbiani is connected to the mainland by a narrow sandy strip and is located close to Palau, in northern Sardinia. The main beach can be reached with a short walk from the reception or by using the village shuttle service.
